| | It looks a lot better in person. Haha.
We had dinner at Buck & Loon's today in Arlington. Decided to try something different and new... it was delicious! We, of course, overate and then headed over to The Parks Mall to walk it off. We stopped into The Disney Store 'cause they were having a big sale (as usual). We ended up with a couple of really cheap t-shirts and some plastic plates for Preston (Stitch, Nemo and Mickey). And then... we ended up in the Texas Store. Oh man, that place is usually not that dangerous because things are ridiculously expensive. However, I always want one of everything to add to our Texas collection. Usually we make it out of there empty-handed... not so this time around. This time we ended up with the "Howdy Y'all" sign seen in the picture above. Couldn't help ourselves. Should have, but couldn't.
It's a great addition to the window/sink area (and means I don't have to buy/make curtains after all!). Michael also recently installed the shelves you see on the right and we got the towel hanger thingee you see on the left at Bed, Bath & Beyond - it solves the "uh, where's a hand towel when you need one?" crisis. My cacti and Jade Plants are doing well, getting big (too big!). Michael's bottle collection has grown over onto the other wall too. So, after 6 years of living here, we're finally working on that area of the house. Next thing we need in there is a new faucet... ours has... issues.
We also just discussed a possible rearrangement of the living room. We kind of boxed ourselves in with the furniture we have now and it just fits too tight (plus we really want a recliner of some sort)... there's just no other way to put it in this tiny room. But, we have a few ideas to make it a little more open like it was when we first moved in. We'll see... it might take us another 7 years, but we'll see. |
